YertleLing to Steamboat Lake State Park -Day 1

YertleLing to Steamboat Lake State Park — Day 1

Left home in the BATMobile pulling Yertle followed by neighbors pulling their camper named The RodPod. Followed US34 across Rocky Mountain National Park into Granby and picked up Highway 40 headed northwest. Stopped for lunch at the Glory Hole in Hot Springs something-or-other, then booked it to Steamboat Springs through the Rabbit Ears Pass, 7% grade. Arrived at the campsite by late afternoon.

Set up camp and then settled into cooking for four, a feast of chicken kabobs, corn on the cob, spinach salad and peach crisp. Shot the breeze over a campfire, then crashed early, but not before a little HP. That’s short for that thing I’m not supposed to mention.
